Welcome to Me!

Hey there! So, my love for critters? It's been a lifelong thing, going way back to when I was just a kiddo looking after all the furry, scaly, and feathered friends at home. Fast forward thirty years, and now I'm a shift lead at a vet clinic, living my passion every single day. But it doesn't stop there! My animal journey has been a wild ride, taking me all over the US and introducing me to some incredible creatures – think Gorillas, Red Tailed Hawks, Dolphins, and even New Guinea Singing Dogs! Join me as I share the stories, facts, and insights I've gathered throughout my animal-filled career. Let's explore the amazing world of animals together!

This handsome stud right here is Diego! He was a Red-Tailed Hawk I had the pleasure of working with during my years at school. If you are new here, my first introduction to working with animals was working with Exotic Animals at an Animal Training Program at Moorpark College in California. Diego was one of the few birds I had the chance to work with. Diego weighed about 3.5 pounds and when "manning" him around the zoo that was the quickest way to kick off arm day, in between feeding your primate, giving zoo tours to the public and training sessions with fellow trainers.

Diego was one of the handful of animals I was lucky enough to work with and take care of daily, while at school. Red Tailed Hawks have incredible eyesight for hunting; it is to be said that they would be able to read a newspaper across a football stadium! Isn't that amazing?!
